Sweating with the Oldies

This is an old project that needs to finally get finished...
These are support beads for a corrugated tin awning...
The awning will shade the shed door and window...
I made some frames today...
They will hold these old victorian fireplace tiles...
I found them on my last flea market run...

Lunch Lady

Gearing up to fill some vintage lunch trays...
This one has chicken nuggets and mashed potatoes...
This tray features meatloaf and carrot sticks...
A scoop of mashed potatoes and a well of gravy...
Need to clean up this breakfast tray tomorrow when it's drier...
This is going to be my postcard picture for Open Studios...
Fabulous image of gravy run amok...

First Pulga of the Summer

Headed off to Pacific Grove...
Then snuck around to the Monterey Flea Market...
Saw this gorgeous specimen...
Saw some dolls with serious problems...
I love looking at little plastic sedans...
Ran into a very serious, yet flaky doll...
Hat pins everywhere...
Reminder of Ancient Roman fashion...
A box of chips...
Headed out to lunch afterward...
Came home with some awesome loot...

What's Your Sign?

Trying to find room for yesterday's work...
The old school garden signs were too large...
Figuring out where the fasteners attach to the panel...
Last time, the kids made the letters...
Hopefully, these two will be better prototypes...
Taking a break while covered in dogs...
The lettering is smaller scale on these, as well...
I also made a few paper clay funky plates...
Percy got a haircut, shortly after this photo...
This totem needs some more work...

Chris and Alison Tie the Knot

Over the hills and into the valley...
The first of many assorted backroads and times being lost...
Gabe ensures that we stay in the meadow...
Erin and her plus one...
View through traffic, on the drive into the park..
Andy is curious about everything...
Father and son...
Ringbearer and assistant...
The giant fireplace at the Ahwahnee Hotel...
The Kurtz family watches the wedding photographer...
Finally getting the promised jelly beans afterwards...
Darryl did a great job officiating...
A non-traditional wedding high five...
Valley view with Half Dome in the distance...
Loved this mural in the dining hall...
Larry motors Barbara through the park...
Heading out of the park for more festivities...
